Shared Branch Network

Island Federal Members have access to over 5,600 courtesy banking locations across the globe.

Nationwide Access, Hometown Service

Whether you’re traveling for work, away at college, or relocating out of state, your Island Federal Membership goes with you. It’s big bank access with local credit union values.

Bank coast-to-coast, with people you trust.

When you bank with Island Federal, you’re not limited to Long Island. Thanks to our participation in the Credit Union Shared Branching Network, you have access to over 5,600 partner credit unions across the country. That means you can walk into a participating branch almost anywhere and:

  • Make deposits and withdrawals

  • Transfer funds

  • Make loan payments

  • Access your account just like you’re home

As a Member of Island Federal, you’re part of something bigger — a cooperative network of credit unions working together to give you more access, more support, and more convenience. Through our partnership with the Shared Branching Network, you can visit over 5,600 branches nationwide to take care of your banking, just like you would at home.

It’s like having your neighborhood branch travel with you — from Manhattan to Miami, from Boston to Boise.

Protecting You From Fraud with IDCheck

We take your security seriously.  That’s why Island Federal has partnered with IDCheck, the latest in anti fraud security software.

When you bank at one of our 5,600 courtesy banking locations, a teller can now identify and authenticate our Members with out-of-state ID’s in the branch through a QR code and one-time passcode multi-factor authentication verification.

How it works:

  1. Scan the QR codes located in branch or visit verify.coop.org
  2. Select the credit union’s name from the drop down
  3. Enter your Member number and last four digits of your social security number
  4. Upload a photo of your ID
  5. Take a selfie
  6. Show your one-time passcode to the teller
