Island Federal Presented with 2023 Corporate Citizen Award by Long Island Business News

Hauppauge, NY, September 2023 – Long Island Business News (LIBN) presented a 2023 CORPORATE CITIZENSHIP Award to Island Federal Credit Union (Island Federal) at their annual ‘Not-for-profit’ breakfast.

“The Corporate Citizenship Award is presented to companies and individuals who believe that by being a good corporate citizen we contribute to the economic and social well-being of our employees, business and the community, and that true community stewardship evolves through strong partnerships with the non-profit organizations that strive to meet the critical needs of the community.” – LIBN.

Island Federal received a 2023 Corporate Citizenship Award (mid-sized companies) for its substantial impact on Long Island and the lives of those who live and work here. Island Federal’s philanthropic support of Long Island Cares, the LT Michael P. Murphy Navy SEAL Museum, and Ronald McDonald House Charities NY Metro were specifically mentioned. Also cited was Island’s partnership with Stony Brook University, which includes individual support of Stony Brook Children’s Hospital, the Long Island State Veterans Home, and the Staller Center. Island Federal’s most important philanthropic contribution to our community, the Island Federal Scholarship Program, was also highlighted.
